How about FAA (financial advisor assistant)? Is it a good career? how much do they make? I see that the advantage of being a FAA is that it is not sales oriented as compared to a FA.

If you are happy in an admin role and there for a few years. But if you have aspirations to be promoted it definitely is not the route to go. Keep in mind any time you are anyone's assistant your job situation is in direct correlation with the FA tempermant and how they would treat you which in turn also affects how you are recognized for your work. Personally I would recommend you exploring a FA role, because you can always go back down. But getting stuck as a FAA would be uninspiring.
