I did that one too once with the family. :D Not sure what the Twangers were thinking when they put those turreted guard rails up. Wouldn't you want a solid wall with small drainage holes instead? I can imagine someone losing control, busting one turret up, then slamming head-on into a 2nd turret and flipping over the cliff.

One road I was surprised didn't make it was Highway 13 in Laos, connecting Vang Vieng and Luang Prabang. I swear that was the twistiest 6 hours of my life. Besides dodging terrain, you also have to worry about getting shot up by bandits carrying AK-47s.

I'm surprised #3 Million Rd. in Richmond BC did not make the list, that's got to be one of the most dangerous roads to travel in Canada. You have to watch out for them c'lais wearing welding masks driving corolla's in a split second without even noticing they can run u off the road by going no more than 40kmh.

...yeah and they take up the whole road so you have to back up until it widens enough for them to pass.

Tim Budong 02-05-2010 07:41 AM

yea
i've been on Iroha and its not as bad as it seems

no...are u crazy?
but interesting tidbit, since InitialD, tey have extended all the railings up to the hairpin to prevent dumbasses from trying to jump the hairpin

TG's done three; they did #6 in Bolivia, they did Stelvia in the "best race prep car", and they did Col de Turini when they were doing the best supercar ep (F430 v Zonda v GT40).
