Appealing ICBC Claims

Is it possible to appeal a claim from 2 years ago?

I still recall very clearly that an accident I had in a parking lot is not completely my fault. I was reversing out of a parking spot but the dude who rear-ended me also had a stop sign. I was at a complete stop thinking he would want my spot but he approached to go pass the stop sign while looking out his driver's window talking to someone walking on the side walk.

When ICBC sends you a letter with their decision, it should state right there how much time you have to appeal. If memory serves, it's only 60 days.

Edit: I was right: http://www.icbc.com/claims/claim_com..._determination

If you disagree with your adjuster’s assessment of fault for a crash, you have several options.

....

3. Start the Claims Assessment Review (CAR) dispute process

You must start the dispute process within 60 days of receiving a letter of the fault assessment.

My question is if you remember so clearly it wasn't your fault why wait 2 years to dispute it?
