Marge: Homer, there's a man here who thinks he can help you.
Homer: Batman?
Marge: No, he's a scientist.
Homer: Batman's a scientist?
Marge: It's NOT Batman.

i've always liked the christmas episode where bart gets caught shoplifting from the Try N Save.

second place for me would go to the one where Mr. Burns stacks the company softball team with majour league players.

Pretty amazing how most of the directors that worked on Simpsons all moved over to Pixar.

Hmm, just as I suspected from reading this post.

I grew up with the Simpsons, just like many people on here. I'm sure it's formed my sense of humour growing up. But I'm older now, and I was growing up over a decade ago, in the prime years of the the Simpsons.

Pretty much everyone on here's favourite episode is from the early days of the Simpsons. Which says alot. The show was SOO good back then. And now, it's just not. In fact, it's a BAD and UNFUNNY show.

It is my humble opinion that that should cancel the Simpsons, and should have done so many years ago. Why keep it struggling on life support? Pull the plug, and let it leave us with whatever dignity it has left.

tonyvu 02-08-2010 12:20 PM

the one where that big fat guy was michael jackson lol

I miss the fact that they don't sing anymore on the Simpsons.

For example, when Apu moves in with the Simpsons. "who needs the quicky mart"

Grandmaster TSE 02-08-2010 12:33 PM

Le Maison Derriere episode with the song was awesome
along with the stonecutters

football in groin
"i choo choo choooose you... and theres a picture of a train"
"my mom says im cool"
"i like my beer cold, tv loud, and homosexuals flaaaaming"

when i use simpsons lines on my coworkers, 9/10 they have no idea wtf im talking about.

i'd have to agree with the general consensus that it's nearly impossible to narrow it all down to one single episode that was your favourite :D

and yes, early simpsons was far greater than new simpsons. unfortunately.

I basically grew up with the old simpsons, but what is great is watching the re-runs, I am able to get more of the jokes that would have blow right past me when i was say 10 years old or so.

hirevtuner 02-09-2010 03:19 PM

the episode when simpsons go to mt splashmore and homer get stuck inside the water slide and when rescued, the crowd boos him

Hondaracer 02-09-2010 04:16 PM

there are actually a few newer ones that are very funny and i've laughed out loud numerous times

but they are few and far between
