dom rebel is not fashionable

jeedee 02-15-2010 02:16 PM

dom rebel [when no one knew about it] was killer back then, now it's just played out.

As for the new collection, seems like the designs are going downhill every collection they release..

!Yaminashi 02-15-2010 03:27 PM

I wouldnt say its played out, since I started buying it, I havent seen another person wearing it. But I do see alt of kids wearing ed hardy, CA and affliction

jeedee 02-15-2010 03:41 PM

You probably haven't been looking around enough :P

Wear your dom rebel during the fireworks in the summer and check out the dom rebel crowd there. A buddy of mine literally counted 30 other people wearing art gallery shirts...not played out yet? lol

But yeah, about every brand goes through a phase like this, but still...the older designs of Dom Rebel blew away the collections of the present.

You got me there, I liked the older stuff better too but none of it is available now :(

Played out or not, I still like some of the cleaner shirts. I'm not totally into all the skulls

i am sick of people advertising dom rebel as LIMITED SUPER RARE like its a fucking charizard card or some shit

art-gallery 02-25-2010 09:35 PM

^ LOL, yea there new collection sucks

The Situation 02-25-2010 11:13 PM

The _AtelierDomRebel collection is pretty sweet imo; the cut and style doesn't scream douche bag. The signature line on the other hand... let's just say, back in my day, you actually had to know someone before you can tell that they're a wanker. Now, all you gotta do is throw on some ed hardy, affliction, or dom rebel, and everyone will know you're a douche.

i dont know. imo it looks like dom rebel is trying to move on as a fashion label, as opposed to brands like ed hardy who they never moved on to conform to new fashion styles. they still continued to use the same flashy logos and etc. it looks like dom rebel is really making an effort to change season after season. i mean look at brands like bape, the reason they are still doing very well is because they are always constantly changing their styles season after season. try looking for those flashy hoodies back from 5 years ago now. i would say yeah, ed hardy was cool about 5 years ago, but fashion changes.

my 2 cents.

This is the truth. Bape basically made the movement for all over print hoodies, and now since fashion has changed they have moved on to cleaner pieces. Sure, they still have some of their logo branded cothing, but they also have a ton of other things in their cut & sew line. Such as oxfords, khakis, dress shirts etc. Nigo is also making a new line called Mr. Bape which will have suits and ties and stuff, but also maintaining the brand image.

I think what real sets Dom Rebel apart from Ed Hardy and everyone else, is their attention to detail and quality. However their price point for their new line is quite ridiculous for what it is.

they're not bad
