Lowering talon
 

I have a 95 eagle talon esi , with a shitty rear passenger side shock, i want to lower it, i was thinking of just putting a new stock shock, and then i saw megan lowering springs on here for 250 installed? would that be any good or will it ride like shit?

So whats the cheapest way for a good lowering with a descent ride?

If you're on a budget lowering with JUST lowering springs will do the trick, but seeing as your car is a 95.. I'd get performance struts with springs

First off, installing new stock shock(s) with aftermarket lowering springs (in your case, Megan) is a safe idea, since the new shocks needs replacement.
You never want to sacrifice your suspension while on the road.

Installing (megan) lowering springs with stock shocks shouldnt be a problem. Make sure the quality of springs are decent. I have not used that brand.
Hire a licensed mechanic pls, I have heard stories of some ppl's workmanship. :(
Once installed onto car, doing an alignment for front/rear is important.
Again, go to licensed shops pls.

Then YES, you will have a vehicle that is slightly lower than stock oem.
The appearance is there.
However, pls remember that the quality of ride, movement, turning, etc...will depend on Megan's quality. There are no answer to what is good or bad, unless personal experience and/or helpful car members.

Although using aftermarket springs and stock shocks together, the duration of failed stock shocks will depend on how your drive, and/or workmanship...and overall driving behaviour.
I've heard ppl go for months, years, and maybe just days. But again, I would recommend getting aftermarket shocks to go with lowering springs eventually down the path. But again, thats costly on parts, and additional install if necessary.

I installed aftermarket shocks shortly after lowering springs, but I did have to pay twice for install. So riding with stock shocks for a while was ok for my car. But again, I used another brand compared to you.
This was back in 2000 when coilovers werent popular with my application. Yah, old school.
