Zip Line

Is anyone planning on checking out the Zip Line? I know it is free but I would imagine the lineups would be ridiculous!

DC5-S 02-12-2010 12:46 PM

ya i wanna go

Tapioca 02-12-2010 01:29 PM

The lineups extended all the way out onto Robson Street. The zipline is between Robson and Smithe St. It seems cool, but like everything else, expect to wait a couple of hours for this one.

illicitstylz 02-12-2010 01:41 PM

i heard it's a 3 hour wait lol

AVS_Racing 02-12-2010 07:22 PM

TheKingdom2000 02-12-2010 07:51 PM

If you don't go when it opens there's no point. Unless youwanna wait 3 hours

thats a long time, unless you are dying to fly across robson square why not spend the 6 hours working (after the olympics) and going to grouse mountain ziplines.

you would also have 6 more hours to spend at other olympic events

asdfpic 02-13-2010 02:59 PM

yeah its nuts, up to six hours in rush hour times

i was working in dt this morning and people started lining up at 7AM for the zip lines that open at 10

not too spectacular or fast even, more or less its a thing just to say you done it

goodluck in the lineups ppl!

tiger_handheld 02-13-2010 08:16 PM

wait time around 2;30pm today was 4.5hrs :O

rien 02-13-2010 08:48 PM

I wish they charged money instead of making it free then line ups would be bearable.

I'm going to pass and go to grouse instead lol.

Too bad you can't just sign up for open times. Like you have to sign up, show ID and they give you a time and ticket. When you show up, you have to show your ID again for confirmation/lost tickets. If you're not on time, you're SOL....

Gh0stRider 02-13-2010 09:55 PM

someone got stuck on the zip line tonight..ahha

jeff19 02-13-2010 11:53 PM

I agree.. why in the world would you wait 6 hours for that? I give props to people who actually did wait 6 hours to do it as to me that would be retarded.

:)

illicitstylz 02-15-2010 09:52 AM

didn't realize it's only a 20second "thrill", lame. Not even worth the hassle of getting into DT

Spectre_Cdn 02-15-2010 10:06 AM

People will mention the same reason, "Oh, it's once in a lifetime, so it's worth the wait"

gearshifter 02-15-2010 10:22 AM

Yeah... not worth it :/

drunkrussian 02-15-2010 09:09 PM

5 hour wait my friends, totally worth it

but why would u wait 5 hours there when u can instead wait 3 hours at the royal canadian mint and touch a gold medal!

 i'm being sarcastic as fuck btw
