how can i take pictures like that?

i tried taking pics of the lights as well, but turns out blurry =(
i was on the other side where the buildings were though.

then again, i'm a noob and it was my first time using a real camera. LOL

Depends a lot on the camera, I'm no photo expert - but the shot above probably using tripod with some photoshop editting?

Those were probably taken with a tripod and longer exposure to allow more light to enter the camera... since it was dark.
