Pontiac G8 -> Holden

I am currently looking for cars for around 26000 ish.
I came across G8, its hell of a car for the money, I think.
Only problem is I hate the name and the arrow head nose.
Just wondering if is possible to convert the head into a holden commodore?

thanks

the G8s are awesome cars. I'll wait a few years and grab one once their values drop.
It's a poor man's cadaillac cts-v.

After seeing how cheap the conversion kit is considering you get a whole new frontend AND hood etc... I almost want to buy one now and do it...

Man compare that to what people used to want back in the late 90's/early 2000's for the JDM Integra Type-R conversions and all that was headlights and a bumper!

holy cow that holden front looks :fappery:

You might be able to trade someone from australia for the holden front end, cause they want the pontiac front end over there.

isn't the pontiac g8 built in australia? if that is the case i think it might be cheaper for them to source it locally for them...

I've been pondering a 2005 GTO myself, those things are like $15k in the US right now

they dont sell it as a pontiac there, they sell it as a special edition of some sort with the pontiac front end but no pontiac badge

but are the pontiac g8 parts made in australia? the original question was whether to just trade parts with a holden owner. if so, wouldn't it be cheaper for an australian holden owner to buy the parts australia, rather than go through the expense to buy and ship from north america?

That is a good question, I dont even know the answer to that myself, and I work in the GM dealer parts department. A part for a car that is made in Canada still sells for cheaper in the states. I guess that might be the same case for the aussies, but I am pretty sure that it would be more expensive in the UK and rest of europe for the G8 parts

UM... EXCUSE ME!

but $2187 + 350 + customs + broker fess USD? That AINT cheap motherfucker.

I own a G8, you cannot find the front end unless you spend a dumbass amount of money and import one. You can easily find the rear badges and all the OEM aussie parts for the holden through this site that I use. I got all the rear badges, and the rim centre caps, because I hate the name pontiac G8 as well, shitty stupid name.

I am just talking about some parts, It can be made in that country but it can still be sold cheaper else where, I still dont know why. Like I said, some parts says made in canada, but you can still buy it cheaper in the states. And some parts are much cheaper in the states. Such as the TPMS for a saturn astra. that is about 160 bucks here each, in the states is around 20 bucks each
