just enjoy the party man, chance of a lifetime |
Protesting just raises costs because of the city having to send out more police officers. Give it a rest buddy, protesting isn't going to do shit. |
olympics is already here..just cause u protest the olympics doesn't mean they're gonna say omg theres protesters..we're gonna get up and leave now ..stupid protesters wasting ur time and the city's resources |

Did you guys see the video of that innocent man who look like he was in his 40's been attached by 3 scumbag protesters? They knocked him down, punched and kicked him for no reason and quickly ran away when the media came. |
Okay, so after a the first weekend of the Olympics, I've come to the conclusion that protesters really aren't even remotely a concern. Primarily because everyone who has come to DT has pretty much absorbed the Olympic-Canadian pride. I'm very very very very very very certain that any anti-Olypmic movement will come off as anti-nationalistic and antagonize the current masses who are now drunk on Canadian pride; (especially even moreso after winning our first gold, ultra moreso when mens olympic hockey rolls around). No protesters will have the balls to fuck with that. Honestly, over the weekend, they really didn't make that much noise in comparison to those who wanted to celebrate the Olympics. It made the Hudson Bay Glass breaking incident seem feeble. |

It's absolutely fine to want your voice to be heard but when you start using unnecessary methods to do so, most people would likely not want to hear what you have to say cuz your image and reputation has been tarnished. |
WHO WANTS TO JOIN ME IN AN ANTI-ANTI-OLYMPICS PROTEST? |
There's going to be one at 6pm tonight starting in front of the art gallery. |

I don't really see why people shot protest the Anti-Olympics. People should just party more like they did this weekend and that's more than enough protest against the Anti-Olymics movement; and not to mention contributing to the local economy. Living in DT, I swear, any businesses in the hospitaly industry looks like they're making a killing right now. |
1 of the broken windows at the Bay looks bullet holes. How did that came to be? |
i was DT yesterday night at like 1am... STILL busy as hell on a sunday night it was crazyy |
only if i get to kick you in the nuts really hard |

To be fair, I don't think most of the protesters are the ones stirring up shit, breaking windows and vandalizing property. It's the anarchist scum that go around to protests and stir up shit and use the protest as an excuse. I'm all for people voicing their opinions if they don't feel something is right. It's their right to do so. However, they should do whatever they can to distance themselves from the troublemakers though so that they don't use them as a front to cause more trouble. |
Disperse them with firecrackers and smoke bombs. |
