Parking question.
 

I wasn't sure if this is were my question should go but thought I'd throw it in here. So it's probably a reall staight answer anyways when ur parking on something such as a cerb does anything bad happen to ur wheels\ tires after a while, for example my new car which I just got today is being parked in the back, which means in order to park I have to park with my too tires on a small curb, I'm not talking about a regular curb it's more like 5 inches of the ground basically were there should be concrete there isn't bc the street us still kind of new so the curbs are a little higher.
Ps, don't have alot of knowledge on cars which is why asking this rediculous question to most

oh you mean parked with one side of ur car raised on a curb?

no shouldnt be a problem?

Yeah pretty much, I just remember hearing someone say or someone told me that it was bad for your suspension or tires if you parked like that, samething as if you tire is half way on something like you parked on top of a rock

so...the rear 2 tires are raised 5 inches..that's a huge difference from the ground man.

And a new car? I'd be afraid of the rear scratching against the curb when you drive off.

when i drove in to park tonight i looked and realized that i made a pretty big mistake its not 5 inches its about the hight of the curb on the left of this pic http://newyorkbike.com/images/gwb__widen_8u25.jpg

so its actually alot smaller, like i said its probably nothing and not a big deal what so ever i just heard from someone else that it was.

well when you're going up the curb, i would be worried about knocking your alignment off, but just parking it ontop of a curb, shouldn't do any damage unless you constantly do it, then perhaps the shocks on that side will get worn faster.

^^^^^ even though it's as high as the picture I posted? Could it damage my suspension on that side?

i would say there would be more wear on the side thats up on the curb as its not balanced. there would be more weight on it as it is constantly compressed during the period of your car is parked.
