Looking for a Netbook

What's a good 10" netbook for less than $500 (incl. tax)?

i recently got an asus 1005ha 250G. bought 2G ram, all n all came out to under 500 after taxes.

is it worth it? its good enough for my mobile needs.

i bought the 1000HE for about $450 after tax, also added 2 gb ram. does what i need. entertain me in a lightweight package with legendary battery life. the 10" screen is a little small IMO, however the trade off is lighter weight. no one should consider anything less than 10" (that's what she said ;))

Well, I got myself a 1101HA. 11'6 is practically 12" to many. Came to $415 after taxes.
It has HD screen, plays HD fine as long as you OC in BIOS (main disadvantage compared to other 1.6ghz stock netbooks). With OC, the battery life is pretty much like other netbooks where you're looking at around 8.5hrs or so. That's my 2cents on this netbook.

well i bought MSI Wind with a 9 cell battery for $350 from FS just a month ago

the windows 7 starter OS is decent.. just too bad i cant change the theme nor the wallpaper, the 1 gig ram is ok, but the 2 gig is much suitable for W7

IMO quality built is better on the asus.

i have the msi wind u100, upgraded to 2gb ram, can be overclocked from atom 1.6ghz to 2.4ghz with stability, burn in tests passed too. it was $450+50 9 months ago. now, you can probably find it for $300-350.
