question about discount for insurance.. so b4 i moved to alberta for 3 years, i had a 40% or 45% discount.. cant remember.. then cancelled my policy coz i moved to alberta.. never had an accident.. i believe 2 speeding tix.. 1 was by police and the other was photo radar.. now im back in vancouver, rdy to get insurance... will i still retain my disocunt or will i loose it? |
I'm guessing that Because you had to register for a Alberta Drivers License and surrender your BC one, I believe that your discount would have to start at 0% discount again... but I could be wrong. Maybe depending on your driving record from Alberta, it can be transfered over? Did you get a discount in Alberta? |
this is probably something you want to talk to an icbc insurance agent about. |
You'll still have a discount. Go to any Autoplan agent, give them your DL# and ask them what your CRS (Claim Rated Scale) is. |
You'll start off at the claim rate scale of 8. |
u can keep ur discount as long as u can prove u dont have any accident within that 3 years. |
You will be able to retain your discount, when you return back to BC. Sometimes when you purchase insurance, the agents will search your name and use your discount. Sometimes the ICBC system doesn't catch that you were out of province. Thus, your CRS discount can still be accumulating. Are you moving back to BC permanently or is it temporary? |
maybe u talk to agent gif u da better anser |
