digital photo repair

So i have this old pic that is seriously messed up and have no idea how it happened or how to fix it... It seems like there is a bar on the left hand side that is different color and offset somehow. If anyone can fix this or point me in the right direction that would be awesome. I would be more than willing to pay (paypal?) someone to do this.

Not sure if the photobucket pic is the full resolution, if the original is needed lemme know and ill email it.

That may be due to a corrupted file. Is the photo super important or sentimental to you in some way? If not, I'd re-shoot it.

Lol ya its got some sentimental value, reshooting it is not really an option.

That's pretty seamless, dude! *clap, clap, clap*

The guy's hand does seem a bit big though? Maybe it's the angle the shot was taken at...or he has a huge ****.
