So is there anything outside the "cosmic horizon"?
Maybe or maybe not, but being realistic there probably is more out there that technology can not yet detect. It's the same thing as saying that we are the only intelligent species and that only our planet is capable of harboring life; If people believe this then your saying that if we decide to grow a garden and we throw a bunch of seeds out only 1 of those seeds will grow? I don't believe it, but if it were true... then what a waste of cosmic space.

I believe there are other life that exist on other planets but i dont think they are green bugged-eyed midgets or banana heads with sharp teeths or even insect looking pig with cornrows. I think its just the same as us humans in every shape or form but maybe their bodies differ from ours to an extent. Remember, human nature adapts to its environment and evolve.
as for the video showing how tiny our galaxy is compared to the whole universe... im just speechless. we think saturn or jupiter is already massive but who knows what else is out there. planets the size of 10 suns!, suns the size of 100 planets!
here's what boggles my mind sometimes and id like to share my theory with you.
What if... when we die, we actually just move on to a different planet? having the knowledge we have right now but not being able to do anything about it since there is no way for us to contact planets light years away. for all you know, people who past away are just in another planet thinking how would they communicate with you, telling you that they are still alive. Maybe aliens are actually someone's relative who is searching for his family and once found, takes them away, maybe knowing of the impending danger this earth has. people who claim to have been abducted saw human shaped species. maybe they just exagerrated big eyed, or big head, since they only see shadowy figures from the bright light of the ship. Also, the whole "i got probed or experimented" claims may not actually be what they think it is. For all we know they are curing whatever sickness or problems the abducted one has before getting transported to the new planet to prevent any spreading.
Salad makes me squirt ranch dressing. Only half of that is an analogy.

think about it....
Yea, that sounds interesting, but there is absolutely no scientific evidence of that sort of thing.
How would our bodies move to other planets after we die?
Doesn't make sense.
It's a good concept for a science fiction movie tho.

With that scale, how would anyone ever find us. Even if there are space travelling aliens out there, what are the chances of finding our super tiny planet out of all the other planets in the universe?

Yep. Pretty much. SETI is stupid. (They monitor for foreign radiowaves). Radiowaves travel at the speed of sound, so how do they expect to find intelligence? Even in our own galaxy, their radiowaves wouldn't even come close to reaching us now.

You mean at the speed of light?
I'd say SETI is worth it if we pick up a signal from intelligent life forms within a couple hundred years. Lets us know that there is someone else out there and gives us a drive to make contact with them.
The Earth is only so big, space is the future and we need to start looking.
