VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) - Vancouver Police are searching for an actor best known for his part in the sitcom 'Growing Pains'. Andrew Koenig, 41, who played Richard 'Boner' Stabone in the show came to Vancouver on holiday, but didn't return home to California as scheduled on February 16th. Police say Koenig used to live in Vancouver but has been depressed lately, and family and friends are worried about his well-being. Andrew was last seen by friends on February 14th.

Andrew is described as 5'5, 135lbs, with shoulder length brown hair and brown eyes. Anyone who sees Andrew or has information about his whereabouts is asked to call 911.

Probably somewhere in the DTES smoking up; lots of wealthy/formerly famous ppl have been in there in the past

or maybe he's just been partying up due to the Olympics

That looks just like the crazy rocker dude that been walking up and down Robson street this week looking like an 80's rock band reject. He has RICH written on the back of his jacket or on his white guitar. I bet that's him!

Koenig, 41, played the character Richard (Boner) Stabone in the 1980s TV series Growing Pains. The actor, who has a long history of depression, was visiting Vancouver and was last seen by friends on Valentine’s Day, Feb. 14.

His father, Walter, who played the character Chekhov on the original Star Trek series, had appealed to the public to help find his son.

An earlier search of Stanley Park, a favourite place of Andrew's since he lived here for about three years in the early '90s, had failed to find any trace of him.

they reported that he gave away his belongings before coming back up to Vancouver, and he turned down a few job offers :/

Damn...sucks to see him lose to depression.

His dad flew into town a few days ago to assist with the search for him too.

That's terrible for them. At least the have closure now (if it really is him)

Aw, dammit. I was hoping he was just laying low. :(

news article in the vancouver sun said that it was a group of searchers accompanied by his dad that found him. so sad that his dad had to find him.
