Just saw it last night with some friends. It's not scary in a sense like a horror movie... It's scary because it FUCKS WITH YOUR MIND

Saw it last night. Great music, cliched dialogue and pacing issues. I liked the second half much better than the first half, but it did a pretty good job of keeping you guessing till the end. I'd give it a 6-6.5/10

Pacing issues.. that's what I mean to say. That was a big problem I agree.
Although I understand Scorsese directed it to be as an homage to Hitchcock, I don't feel he delivered the scenes as well as possible. The 60's-type directing style didn't work out as well as I hoped..

The plot in itself with its twists and psychological intrigue however will attract audiences and remain memorable.

I agree, 6-6.5/10 sounds about right.

i saw the film finally at the theaters. It was decent. I mean the script was a tad week. It could have been a lot better during the beginning. I didn't per se "kept guessing" the entire time. I wish there were more guessing would have made it so much better to mess with the viewers' minds.

I did enjoy the final 10 mins. on the light house scene. I mean that was the only part i was truly impressed and got me hanging on my chair.

What is the point of a lobotomy if it turns you into a vegetable anyways?

Also, I didn't quite understand what they role played... they said Teddy had been talking about a storm for two years? I don't quite understand what they mean by that since it would be impossible to anticipate one for the role play at the exact moments they came from the ferry to investigate.

And since his partner/psychiatrist was there to watch over him to ensure his safety, why did he leave him when Teddy wanted to climb over to the lighthouse even though he insisted he went alone? Wouldn't that be considered out of procedure since he could have easily died climbing down that damned mountain and then hallucinating to the point where he saw a fire and talked to a doctor.

Fuck. I think i just got mindfucked.
