Does anyone have a Zapco amp?

I bought a Zapco off a member, he screwed me around in getting the input cable, so I finally bought one, and I'm using generic DIN cable from the transmitter to the amp, and I'm getting no sound. Does anyone have a Symbilink DIN cable I can use for 2 minutes to test the amp?

Much appreciated.

Which Zapco is it?

DC Series? We used to be a Zapco dealer, unfortunately Canadian distribution is no longer so calling Zapco directly or trying online is probably your best bet.

Very awesome amp, reliable, sound awesome and gobs of power.

Also you need the SLDIN.T-F with it. It's suppose to come with the amp.

It's the DC500.1, I actually called you because the previous owner told me that you had his Zapco transmitter.

i have been in talks with Robert from Zapco, but they wanted 80$ for the transmitter and 50$ for the DIN cable. I was able to buy a transmitter, but before I buy their DIN, i want to make sure it's the cable at fault and not a broken amp.

Thanks

He said I had his transmitter? That don't make sense if it must be installed with the car.

Anyways, I'll dig around. I remember seeing a couple DIN cables somewhere a long time ago. I know we didn't sell them, but I don't recall seeing them for a long time though.

Worse case I have a car here that's using Zapco amps also. It's getting redone. So once complete I could essentially test it for you in the other car. BUTTTT it won't be done for at least 3 weeks.

Yeah it doesn't make sense to me either, but he said that he must have left it with you guys. Joey with the black z4?

That would be awesome if you could test it, I'm frustrated beyond belief with this amp.

Ohhhh it was Joey's. Yeah it was installed in his Z4.

They're rock solid amps, the odds of frying it are quite slim. It's quite frustrating if you're missing all the cables needed. But once you get it installed it is frigging amazing. Did you get the software and the data cable? You need that also to tune the amp. There's a billion controls for that amp which is done through software.

Yep, can connect to it no problem using USB, just nothing coming out of the sub.

If you find a DIN cable please let me know, even if you can't sell it, i don't mind buying one elsewhere as long as I know the amp works. :)

Thanks!
