| type-r was more raw. obviously felt more special. radio? air con? sound deadening? who needs that??? i was more attached to that itr than i am with my gti now. but i was much younger (and dumber) back in the day when i had it so i'm seeing things in a different perspective now. burying the tach to stay within the vtec powerband and then watch the po-po lights come on in my rearview mirror had more of an appeal back then than it does now :lol
if i were able today, i would buy a stock itr and a shop manual and learn as much as i could to "restore" it and keep it just for weekends.
there is so much tech stuff in the gti i'm left scratching my head no matter how much i try to read up about it (or i'm just dense/old).
but i can't deny turbos have their own special kind of rush too... |
