video bypass i followed a DIY online of how to bypass the safety feature in my car that restricts videos to be played while my car is in motion (only parked with Ebrake on) the videos are played through my video ipod, so the instructions say to cut the ebrake and motion sensor wire and ground them. I cut and taped them off however it didnt work and now they wont even play with the ebrake on. is it because I didn't ground the wires? or i skipped a step? should i reconnect the cut wires? thanks! |
it depends on the model u have, but the universal trick is to add a relay to it. they're getting smarter and smarter, some models will know if u have permanently grounded ur ebrake thus the grounding ebrake wire trick wont work. |
hook it up with a switch (hidden) to ground. having them just hanging free won't work (simply put, hanging in the air is not the same as ground), and you want the ability to turn it off if needed. and of course having the ebrake up now won't make any difference, you cut the wire! *facepalm* |
nvm i figured out whats wrong lol i didnt ground the wires |
