if someone loves you they should love you for who you are. i think the general consensus is that as long as your significant other trusts you and feels secure (women especially need security) than it shouldnt matter if you like dudes.

From reading this thread, it appear as if the OP is still confused about his sexuality. He claims to be bi, and says that he likes both men and women equally. This is not what bisexuality is. Sexual preference is not black / white but scalar. While it is possible that the OP is bi, he needs to also clearly state whether he has a preference toward men or women. Most gay people have a much stronger preference toward men than women and find it much easier to just have relationships with men. Bisexuals have either a stronger preference toward women, or have enough of a preference for women to actively pursue relationships with both sexes. If the OP has a stronger preference for women, he should indeed date women. However, before starting a sexual relationship with a woman, he might choose to mention that he has a sexual attraction to men and has dated men in the past. I think that is important information for any significant other to know. If I was a woman (I'm not), I would have trouble believing any guy who claims to be attracted to both men and women, equally.

Many people that claim to be "bi" usually have a stronger preference for men than women, since it takes quite a lot to overcome the social stigma, and for this reason, most gay men think that being bi is just a road to being gay.
