Squeeky Brakes after wheel change????

so ive recently taken off my snow tires and put my summer wheels on and now sometimes during normal braking from 60 or slow rolling braking the brakes will squeek. Does anyone know y? it was perfectly fine before i took off my steelies and it cant be the pads cuz i just got new rotors + pads before christmas. the strange thing is it doesn't occur all the time?

did you hit the backing plate when putting on the summer tiresS?+

maybe lol what damage did i do if i did? are u talking about the dust shield behind the rotors?

lexluthor09 03-02-2010 05:41 PM

won't do any damage except scrape the backing plate (yes dust shield)

if it touches then it'll squeak a bit as its scraping.

that's the only thing i can think of that would do that after a wheel change.

nickmak 03-02-2010 09:55 PM

find out which side(s) are rubbing and bend it away from the rotor
