photo shoot location by the waters?
 

does anyone know a good location in the lower mainland that has clear/blue waters?
looking to shoot some photos/videos with it as a background

Nope. None. Nada. Some of the lakes in the Interior are really blue, like Kentucky Alleyne Lake near Merrit.

It depends:

If you're looking for Caribbean blue/clear- then no.

If you're looking for just ANY blue (still stunning nonetheless), there are some glacier-fed lakes just outside the lower mainland. One that pops into mind is Garibaldi Lake. When I first saw it my jaw dropped. Absolutely beautiful, and with the mountains and glaciers in the backdrop, it's perfect for pictures. The water is a real deep turquoise- just google for it and you'll see what I mean.

A few caveats though- there's hiking involved- only service vehicles have access via dirt road. So maybe this isn't a good choice for a shoot. However if you're just bringing camera and a few speedlights, it's definitely worth a look. Oh and pretty much Summer-only, as it snows from about Oct-Apr. And since it's an alpine-ish park, there's really nothing up there. There's a few REALLY smelly bathroom huts. But no running water, and whatever you bring up must go down with you (including garbage).

It's an hour drive (just past Squamish) then depending on how quick you are it's a good 4-5 hour hike. If you leave in the early morning you can get to the lake shore by noon, with plenty of time to shoot and head back. It's a real pain, but can't argue with the scenery.

Oh, and DON'T DRINK THE WATER. Very dangerous. And not sure if you were planning on doing this, but don't swim, and bring something comfy for your model(s) if you plan on having them lie down. It's not sandy, rather pretty rocky.
