Starbucks doing the same, its something to do with the health ministry where they're enforcing restaurants who use disposable paper cups not to refill hot drinks into the same cup. Reason behind this that the wax coating inside the cup will break down and ending up being consumed. Even though this is enforced (not sure how widespread it is in GVA) but if you do go to starbucks to get a refill you still get 5 cents off your coffee but with a new paper cup ;) | I work at Starbucks and I can personally say that you do not get 5 cents off your coffee when you get a refill :p
You get your refill for free if your Starbucks card is registered and have bought your first coffee already. Its only supposed to work in the same store you bought your coffee from but with Starbucks just say yes policy, i'm sure it will work everywhere :p
However, if you do not have a registered card, a refill will cost you normal price minus 10 cents for reusing the cup :p |
