Behind the Lens: Olympic Photography Totally forgot to post this up. Sorry for the short notice! Join Langara College and the International Olympic Committee’s photographer, John Huet, for the one night event: Behind the Lens. On Friday March 5th, 2010 John will be presenting his favourite images captured at the recent Vancouver 2010 Olympic Winter Games and his work covering previous Olympic Games including: Salt Lake City, USA; Athens, Greece; Torino, Italy; and Beijing, China. Feel like you were behind the lens and up close to the athletes. John will be discussing his most recent involvement as photographer for the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympic Games. Presenting his favourite images from the games, John will give insight to the making of each image including stories, challenges, and his inspiration. John Huet is a professional sports photographer with a career spanning over 25 years and was most recently selected by The International Olympic Committee as photographer for the Vancouver Winter Olympic Games. John’s photography has been consistently awarded in numerous publications including Communication Art,s Photography, Design, and Advertising Annuals. His commercial clients include many of the world’s leading advertising agencies, design firms, and companies such as BMW Motorcycles, Adidas, Reebok, Nike, and Nikon. Whether an Olympics fan, sports enthusiast, or photographer this evening is sure to entertain and engage all attendees.
