Anyone tried this?

Wondering if anyone has tried using an SDHC-to-CF2 adapter in a CF-slotted camera? I have a new netbook with an SD slot, so it would be really handy if I could pick up an SD card and use it in my 40D

They're usually slow. I think photofast makes them.

Hahahah, that's awesome! But unfortunately I think the RAID striping would kind of defeat the purpose of being able to pull the card out and plug it into my netbook

Anyway, not worried so much about speed (I don't do a lot of high-speed shooting on my 40D), just whether or not it would work in the camera... it's all about convenience It also kind of defeats the purpose of a netbook if you have to pack a big bag with your adapters and card readers and such!

Photofast makes all sorts of adapters. There is an SDHC to CF. Lookem up

I KNOW there are - see the link the original post. All I'm asking is if it will work IN THE CAMERA, or if functionality is limited to computers.

I can't imagine that it will only work on computers. Afterall, if a computer can write it, so can any other device (they use the same method of access correct?)

There are plenty of other adapters, like the MicroSD to MSDuo. Those work well with whatever, be it Computers, PSPs, Sony Cameras etc...

Yes, they'll work, but AFAIK, the throughput speeds are limited. Why not just have a small CF USB 2.0 card reader like the Lexar ones? They don't take up any space at all.

I have a photofast MS Pro duo adapter in my PSP slim using 2 8gb microSD cards. Quality control seems to be not so great as my cuzin bought one from the same place and it was faulty and wouldn't read 16gb micro SD's. so he bought another one from deal extreme and it works perfectly using dual 16gb microSD's on his PSP Phat.
