Nvidia's fermi chip comes out next this month on the 26th, if you can wait till the end of the month, you might be able to snag a VC for less. Especially if you're shopping around the high-end of the market. I wouldn't expect any price drops at anything below $250 though, since Nvidia is only releasing their premium gear. I would recommend the HD 5770 if you want to buy now. |
If you're looking for DX11 support I'd go with the 5770. If you're not I'd get either a 4870 or a 4890. The 4870 runs a bit faster than the 5770. And the 4890 would be a bit better than both but it won't have DX11 support. 5770 for DX11 4870/4890 for a tad but more performance What resolution do you plan on playing on? Posted via RS Mobile |
is the hd5770 better than my current 9800gtx+?in my windows experience index thing my graphics card gives me a 7 but when i checked on my friends comp that has the 5770 he got a 6.dont know if that matters but that seems like a big jump |
http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/...rd,2521-8.html heres the video card hierarchy. it seem like the 5770 is a step above your current 9800gtx+ |
