i got 380,000km on my 95 accord before the head gasket went and i have 206,000km on my 97 el, pretty reliable cars so far.

bcrdukes 03-22-2010 11:33 PM

Holy shit! Some very impressive numbers here! :)

Not a Honda, but my dad's 87 Toyota Cressida currently has 303,xxx KMs on it. Other than regular maintenance (oil changes/brakes etc.) we've only ever had to rebuild the alternator. I believe this is the 12th year my dad has owned the car, if not, longer.

261000kms on my 91 accord, seems like its nothing for it. it idles a little rough when cold, but aside from that, its been mint.

car has had timing belt done every 100k km, rear brake cylinders leaked a tad, rust on rear quarter panel - if this car didnt rust, id repaint it, and do an engine swap. such an awesome honda.

FN-2199 03-22-2010 11:59 PM

348,xxx on my Sol so far. Currently needing some maintenance. The thing eats oil like Jeffield eats chicken

Okay, I just gotta throw this in there: passing 470,000 in my first Accord was a big thing for me, because it beat my Dad's old pickup, in total clicks if not in the time it was done...

He bought a Dodge step-side pickup brand new in '81, thing had the good ol' Dodge slant-6 engine... this was a year after we'd moved from Vancouver to around the 100 Mile House area, but most of his work was still at the Coast, and some in Prince George, so he did a LOT of driving. At one point, near the end of its life, my sister ran it dry of oil... after that it would take a 4-liter jug of oil just to make the Vancity-Huncity trip, but it just kept on going.

Dad finally retired the old girl (er, the truck, not my sister) - still running, if not so strong, with just shy of 470,000km... in 1987.

fliptuner 03-23-2010 08:56 AM

Holy shit, when I did the math, 470k = 233km/day, everyday, for 6 years. That's like Vancouver drug dealer mileage.

Soundy 03-23-2010 10:15 AM

Well, that's most-weekly trips to and from, between Vancouver and outside of 100 Mile (~600km each way)... numerous trips to Prince George (another 400km or so, each way)... plus everything else. Adds up quick!

Of course, Dad used to be a trucker before he got married, so he was used to doing the long haul :)

My 93 EG that i picked up maybe in june cant remember off an old lady that had put 325xxx km on there and had no major work done to it, had all the receipts from Honda and every air care ticket with the millage on it, and now iv hit 353xxx km and shes still running strong, burns a lil oil and leaks from the pan gasket but shes fast and reliable!

Berzerker 11-01-2010 09:13 PM

My EK had 394XXX on the cluster when I swapped it out for an SiR one.... Been through multiple motors though (performance related blow up's not general wear) and the suspension is all performance so nothing that really matters has those KM on it.

Berz out.

My winter beater 87 crx currently has 220,xxx. Bought it almost 3 years ago for $650.. Still running strong =) My dad's tercel had 550,xxx KM before we retired it... So many memories with that car =(

SumAznGuy 11-01-2010 09:22 PM

My S2000 has 202K km's for an 02. Car had 70K km's when I bought it 4 1/2 years ago. Other than replacing the valves due to retainer failure, the motor is running strong but does burn a little bit of oil. This is going to be the first winter I am not driving it.

315k on my 96 maxima. Recently bought a 93 civic as the maxima costs too much in gas and I'm going back to school. I HATE my civic.
