I saw several mice run across the floor of Honolulu in Richmond (now Ginger and Garlic). I'm almost sure Kam Do is in violation of...a lot of things.

I've eaten in back-alley "dai pai dongs" in HK with cockroaches on the floor. All good:thumbsup:

it's the same reason why the incidence in North America for asthma and allergies are so much higher, the air is too clean here.

For some foods/cuisines, it seems that the dirtiest places have the tastiest food.

Man I can't believe I haven't used the food inspection website before this.

What is more surprising is the restaurants that I though would be terrible turned out to have minor issues

ie No.9 in lansdowne :O

The food you eat/drink in North American is way worse than the stuff you eat in other countries. You guys shitting bricks about unclean places is no worse than the shit you eat here.

+1, I'd rather eat at street food stands in asian countries or mexico that are freshly made with fresh ingredients than McDonalds.

it doesn't surprise me that No.1 beef noodle is one of the worst. Once me and my friends went there, we got a side of Ketchup with one of our meals and after trying it and thinking it tasted funny. We looked very very close and there were literally 10's and 10's of tiny maggots crawling around in it. We told them what was up and they justified themselves by saying they leave there ketchup outside and they weren't the ones that made it so they aren't at fault. They slapped us with the full bill expecting us to pay for the few noodles we ate saying we were too paranoid. At the end of it, we told the chick working there she was a stupid fuck, we were going to call health authorities and that we didn't care if she called the cops. I offered to call them for her lol. I think she was either crying or almost there by the time we were done.

It's a fucking hot dog cart. The danger of eating at Japadog is the same as going for a barbecue in the park.

Improper food storage temperature? You mean how they keep everything in a cooler? LOL...they sell out of everything by the end of the day...not like anything spoils.

Gh0stRider 03-09-2010 09:18 PM

from todays report

Quote:

The biggest fast food chain in the region, McDonald's, received the most average violations of any chain: about 66 critical violations per 100 restaurants. That means customers were as likely to be exposed to a health violation at a McDonald's as they would be at an average restaurant.

The chain told CTV News in a statement that it has "very strict food safety policies and procedures and based on recent inspections, all McDonald's restaurants in the region are in full compliance with Fraser Health standards."

The chain added that any violation, critical or non-critical, is immediately corrected. Fraser Health inspectors also told CTV News that they would return for a follow-up inspection at any restaurant until such a violation was corrected.

A & W had about 65 critical violations per 100 inspections, followed by Dairy Queen at about 56. Taco Time and KFC tied with about 54 critical violations per 100 inspections, followed by New York Fries at about 51, Wendy's at about 44, and Church's Chicken at about 36.

The chain with the lowest rate of violations was Burger King, with some 13 violations per 100 inspections.
