I remember 2 years ago when she was there I happen to be the 1st person to greet her, I asked her to marry me and she said yes of course. Got that shit on video somewhere haha

There a guy with the username Mr.Campo but its already taken by me hah

how does one go about trying to get their car in DTP?

Register & pay on the website when it comes up.

Then prepare for the run around... difficult staff who don't know what's going on & contradict each other... and you'll never win 1st place in anything "unless you know someone".

I gave up on that show. So did many people on here. There are a few who still dream though. ;)

!SG 03-11-2010 05:53 AM

so... ive done a shit load to my car (my prelude before), im pretty sure everyone knows me, yet all the years ive entered, ive never won anything, yet you dont see me bitch whine and complain about it.

to each their own, you may think your car is a treasure, others might think otherwise. in the end of the day, are you modding for their enjoyment or yours? it be pretty sad if all you seek is others approval, and not be modding for the love of it.

To win at a car show, its 10% mods, 20% display, and 70% cleaning! if you think ur gonna win with dirty door jams, think again.

To me.. in the end, the only good thing about DTP was you spent less if you entered your car in the show instead of visiting it.

With your vehicle entry, you got secure overnight parking... you get a wristband (or handstamp in the later years) that lets you come and go, so you could leave the show and go get cheaper better food at a real restaurant instead of the crap food at BC Place...

Good for DTP on coming back to Vancouver after the year missed... but I've had enough of their disorganization. And an outdoor show I have to pay to enter? I'd rather hit up every RS meet instead :)

this. i've never understood why people mod for strangers' attention or the people who assume that you yourself are doing it for attention. it really surprises me how little people understand why we do this.

Onassis 03-11-2010 08:43 PM

It's actually kind of retarded how people spend tens of thousands if not hundreds of thousands of dollars to win a fifty dollar trophy. Major props to tuners who do it just for straight passion instead of acceptance.

Any ideas on which import models are headlining the show ?
