the new testament was written in greek

StylinRed 03-10-2010 04:18 AM

I thought it was written partly in Hebrew/Aramaic and mostly in Greek? even though they spoke in Aramaic...

Jesus spoke in Aramaic, or so the scholars say.

most of the scriptures in the OT were written in Hebrew, the others in Aramaic

no it was written in koine greek, a greek which is mostly not spoken anymore. I can read it, but I'd have a hard time understanding it.

Idiocy.

Or white people who get Japanese style tattoos.

I guess people just get what they want and what makes them feel happy. It is their body afterall.

The only part of the bible that would have been in hebrew would have been the Torah (old testament), and the teachings of Jesus aren't in there.
