Because he's not allowed to sell it for more than what he got it for. He's probably just trying to make a profit, but lists the items at this price so that the mods don't know he's trying to make profit.

That's all fine, what's annoying is when people post one price and you e-mail them saying you'll take it and then they ask for a higher offer... especially over stuff that's like $5.

I think what the other poster meant was, sell it for the price listed, not auction it off to the highest bidder via PM as this isn't ebay.
