It tastes like something you can buy at Safeway and make yourself.

Actually, the pasta and sauces you can buy at Safeway taste better.

Mugen EvOlutioN 03-11-2010 09:34 PM

lol so harsh

Great68 03-11-2010 09:39 PM

Pasta is easy to cook well at home, so when I get it in a Restaurant it better blow my fucking socks off.

skyxx 03-11-2010 10:29 PM

Their food is horrible! To the point it isn't even Italian food anymore or pasta. :lol

InvisibleSoul 03-11-2010 11:32 PM

Man, some of you are damn picky eaters.

skyxx 03-11-2010 11:38 PM

No man, Old Spaghetti Factory is nasty LOL. seriously...

Mugen EvOlutioN 03-12-2010 08:01 AM

my only question is how the hell do they survive?????

i mean antons is packed...this ? gets horrible review lol

i guess red sauce pasta is fairly easy

cook pasta in boiling water, prepare sauce. tomatoe sauce in a can, stir fry some ground beef, mushroom, chunks of tomatoe and add some spice to it. DONE!

^ You are so gullible.

Some strangers on RS tell you this and that, and you just believe it all.

Have some self-respect. Don't make their opinions your opinions. Formulate your own. How about actually visiting the restaurant first?

I'm not endorsing the restaurant at all. I'm endorsing you using the brain your mom gave you.

Because their food is cheap, and profit margins on pasta are good. Plus a lot of people have really low standards.

I think your missing the point of it being for charity .. so techically your doing it for a good cause and getting a free meal.. btw the food cant be that bad.. you make it sound likes its not edible.. XD

I understand the charity aspect to it and it's great. For me personally though I would rather donate money on my own to a charity rather than to go down there and eat their crap.

Mugen - I'm not sure how they surivive but it's food we're talking about and everyone has different opinions. Doesn't matter what place we're talking about whether it's a hole in the wall, fine dining, or whatever. There will always be people who like it and people who don't. With this joint i'm a hater, some will agree some won't. So my suggestion will be go try it out and find out for yourself.

You guys act so high and mighty. You guys make it sound like OSF serves dog shit.

SkinnyPupp 03-12-2010 06:29 PM

Last time I went there was 1998 or 1999. It was so bad, I never saw a reason to go back.

Senna4ever 03-15-2010 06:20 PM

SkinnyPupp is right - even at those prices, I'd rather have a can of Chef Boy R Dee.

wahyinghung 03-16-2010 12:49 AM

^ Agreed and they are so well that they have restaurants in the states as well......

I'm not saying they serve dog shit but have you tried their pasta? It's horrible!!! I gave them three tries and that was it. I don't even know why I even went back to try it. Oh right, once was a friend's birthday dinner and one was because it was near the swimming facility around the Richmond Silver city. I never understood how all the locations can make the food taste the same. Same as in not good. I give them points for keeping the "standard" there.

hey at least they remain consistent

Okay, I remember the one time I was a bit adventurous, I chose the Spaghetti with Browned Butter and Mizithra Cheese, ala Homer, and it was the worst decision ever.

But the other times that I've had some of their more normal spaghetti selections... it was palatable. Don't think it was gourmet by any means, but I didn't have any qualms with swallowing it and holding it down.

considering it has 3 ingredients i dont think your a fan of the cheese (which i think is fucking awesome) or browned butter (which can leave you with heavy heartburn)

Is it supposed to taste really salty? I think that was the main problem I had with it... incredibly salty. I didn't particularly like the taste either...

I don't know about browned butter, but I do like cheese... considering how much pizza I eat.

Yes.

Mizithra is good. My grandpa makes homemade stuff when I go back to greece.

browned butter is litteraly melted butter until it turns brown.

lgman 03-21-2010 01:10 AM

Wonder if this applies to take-out too?? might help the lineup a bit.

sonick 03-22-2010 09:30 AM

Their sourdough with whipped garlic butter is addictive.

ra1nn 03-22-2010 12:46 PM
