Why do so many "sushi lovers" praise only all you can eat cheapo places. Sure you got a solid case of the munchies but almost all of it is crap. Its like callin Mc Dicks a great burger joint. Nothin but second (if lucky) rate ingredients.
Shit rice (I'm white and know that)
Shit sashimi, farmed previously frozen Atlantic salmon mmmmmmm
Nothin is fresh just frozen and thawed then frozen again theres no flavor no texture.

Oh microwaved edamame too. mmmmmmmm

Yes your right but el cheapo places buy it frozen, thaw it to cut to size, then freeze it again. Losing flavor and texture.

well like u said its cheap and its all you can eat, cant really complain there

i mean tomokazu is actually decent not like some other all u can eat joints

some ppl just have different taste thats all

and another thing good bout all u can eat is u dont ONLY have to order sushi, u can practically order the whole menu.

Actually, by law, all fish must be frozen before being served raw. Does it happen? No, because some fish are totally ruined by freezing.

i heard that it's ok to eat w/o freezing as long as it's minutes within their death

godwin 03-18-2010 05:09 AM

Err no parasites still live on fish minutes within their death.

"minutes within their death" has to do with the texture, ie before the fish goes into rigor. There are certain way to kill the fish that prevents that... eg quick shaft into the base of the skull.

Healthy wild salmon rarely has parasites. Its only the cheap farmed stuff that prevails in cheaper sushi restaurants that are infested with parasites. I'm not hating on farmed salmon by any means. I do eat it.
Nothin beats fresh off the hook and raw.
