GM Place Seating Question

Ok, so i've never been to GM place.

Given this, what would be the ideal seating place?

Is 100 level better than 300 level?

and I take it at the 100 level , the following seats are the best?
- 106 and 117

and at the 300 level, it would be
- 308 and 323 right?

would 325 be better than 320 or 321?

Depends what you're watching. Otherwise you can answer your own questions just based on the pic.

100 vs 300 is really your preference. There is no correct answer on which one is better really. If you like seeing shiet from an elavated view then 300 is better if you like to be closer to the action even if it means your view itself is worse then 100 is better. In addition it depends what row you're in. If you're in lets say Row 1 Section 108 compared to Row 1 Section 310 I can tell you I would choose 310 any day of the week. Again I stress peference + location of your actual seat in the section itself.

Yes 106 and 117 at GM Place for concerts are the best and by far the most popular section.

Yes same applies to 308 and 323

Never ever buy any of the sections that are beside the stage and to the right of it. So 104, 105, 119, 118, 306, 307, 325, and 324 are no goes imo. However, 105, 118, 307, and 324 are acceptable if the seats you have are to the right of the section.

There used to be a PDF on canuck.com with a map of all the sections plus individual seat numbers but looks like they removed it which is a shame because it was the king of all maps.

If it's a concert, the best seat is no seat: GA

winson604 03-19-2010 01:58 PM

^^
Debatable yes. Like any other seat and section you either love it or hate it. All comes down to what you want. My gf's hella short and in GA people usually stand so basically she won't see shiet.

but for GA admission you need to always squeeze your way up to the front, expect to be up close and personal with the crowd

if you are watching hockey, there is no bad seat in GM place..

and personally i perfer 300 level rather than ice level... ( you can see more )

Agreed. Upperbowl within the first 5 rows are so is where I like to be. I've sat pretty much everywhere on the lowerbowl and for the most part it's a pain in the ass to see anything. It depends on what you like though. Lowerbowl was cool when I saw row 2 because your so close to the action but in terms of watching the game you're always leaning and almost trying to stand up to see wtf is going on.

Exactly. If you're not on the floor, then it doesn't really matter if you're in 117 or 300 or 8349234.

MR_BIGGS 03-19-2010 04:38 PM

GA is only good if you are in the first few rows. The floor is always a waste of money when they have seating because if you are not in the first 10 rows its all flat so you're screwed. Lower bowl prime sections are the ones others have mentioned.

SkinnyPupp 03-19-2010 04:53 PM

Floor seats are good for much more than the first 10 rows, that's for sure. There is a limit though, you're right. It also depends on who the artist is.

It's even better when it's an artist that the crowd moshes to. You could start the show at the very back, but end up in the 3rd row, if you time your moshing right.

Werd. Yea you`re right though depending on the artist it could definitely make a difference. Also depending on what type of stage set up the artist uses at GM Place also makes a big difference.

seats are best where there's hot drunk party girls.
