I work for Telus as an I&R guy so I'll let you know how things work. The door guys aren't related to Telus at all, they are just field agent work we contracted out. My buddy use to work for the Rogers one and told me that they usually lie abit about the price say its 5-10 dollars cheaper than what it really is and when the people gets the bill its too late cause its now Rogers issue. Pretty much you buy from him, he gets commission. When you call into Telus you buy from them and no one gets commission. Or you can buy it from me and I'll get paid :haha: but I'll make sure it goes through right as well. Either way if anyone has issues with their service you can feel free to pm me if you dont wanna go thru all the automated questions and hold times. Quote:

^So do you guys really have that deal going on right now? :P |
we got something like that but I can't tell you exact price until I know what TV you are refering too. Satellite or IPTV btw I would go with the IPTV since we just released the new version except unlike the last stuff (which honestly wasnt very good) we didn't make it in house. Its actually a system that has been out in the US for a while. Plus its kinda cool if you have an x-box you can use it to watch TV and stuff. |

^ i have phone/tv/internet from Telus, it's really had its ups and downs (consider this: when your internet is down, so is your TV. and telus internet seems less reliable than shaw.) but i think it's okay now. if you manage to get a good deal from them then it's worth considering. when you get Telus internet and TV bundled together though, you get 10-15 (I get about 10-13) Mbps d/l bandwidth, 0.6-0.7Mbps u/l. you give up bandwidth when you're watching HD channels on your TV: about 4Mbps per TV that's on and watching an HD channel. but personally I don't watch a lot of TV so I usually get the full 11 or 12Mbps. it's nice downloading files at like 1.2MB/s now hahaha basic Telus TV does come with free HD channels: http://www.telus.com/content/tv/iptv...ming/index.jsp I know because I'm a cheapass and I have basic TV haha. yo Mr. Jay how do I watch TV through my xbox?? |
^ I go thru training in April so I can let you know then :haha: but what I do know is it only works with the new TV |

If you saw the old tv service and were not happy with it i could understand, the new service however i am actually happy to be installing and telling people about. It is the product that Telus should have first brought to the market. |

Either way I'll ask when I'm in training. I was not a fan of the old platform but deff like Mediaroom. Mainly due to the bump in ADSL speed for me (was on 3.0 before) but the one thing I find annoying is that the guide shows you channels you dont have. |

They recently upgraded me to the new one I think. I can now play things I recorded through my PVR at any other TV through the house. Do I have mediaroom? |
