BS, the only thing that takes more energy to consume than it provides is gum.

no one wants to take ownership of their own habits anymore.
it's a simple equation; energy in=energy out. when the scales tip to one side your body changes accordingly.

...which is why you gotta try to live that "balanced healthy lifestyle"

exercise everyday for at least 30 min, eat 5~8 servings of fruit a day..

I think it's just laziness that makes ppl fat.. unless u got genetic diabetes.

Yeah, just saying for many people it's a shock transitioning from one to another; even though it makes sense you never think to yourself "ok I am no longer in school and no longer take the bus I immediately must change my diet and lifestyle".

penner2k 03-25-2010 02:55 PM

I'm up about 50 lbs from high school....

The more money I make, the harder I have to work to keep trim.

It's related to the lifestyle and type of food for sure.

Oh thank god. I was worried that something might be my fault, now I don't have to take responsibility for my under-boob sweat!

Yeah, I totally agree with you.. Which is exactly why when I have kids of my own, they aren't going to have any junk food to eat around in the house, only fruits and veggies not to mention be brainwashed to getting regular exercise outside of school :P... and they definitely aren't going to pick up my smoking habits because if all goes according to my master plan, I shall quit at age 30!

No, but it is the way I've learned for my own..

I always enjoyed playing sports in a team.. eg.. basketball in HS, and working out, hiking, swimming and jogging now.

But I had to learn how to enjoy eating veggies and fruits as I got older because I guess I was never taught the value that they should hold in every healthy peoples' lives. Before I was around 8, I hated eating any type of veggies, I'd even hate hamburgers because there was that tiny piece of lettuce in there...

optiblue 03-25-2010 11:43 PM

Haha! Nothing has changed much for me, I've always been a meat eater! Life's too short to not support PETA (people eating tasty animals)! Even healthy vegetarians can still end up getting cancer or other diseases. Sure they may save themselves from a heart attack, but they could be hit by a bus the next day for all we know. I have some buddies who constantly watch what they eat and that gets annoying real fast. My motto is to eat whatever you crave and wash it down with a good amount of beer. Life's more fun that way.
