White residue on black trim pieces

Hey guys, I've always been too lazy to properly mask off the trim pieces when I detail my car. Just wondering if there's a product or method to safely remove the white residue from all the polish, sealant, wax that has built up on the black trim pieces.

EDIT: Nevermind, shoulda searched google first. Peanut butter FTW!!!

Mr Clean magic eraser works pretty well too if you don't have peanut butter.

How'd the peanut butter work out. I've heard that as well but have never tried it.

PB was awesome. I just put it on and it melted the residue away, didn't even have to scrub it down.

I've tried using various degreasers, cleaners, clay bar, alchohol wipes, Mothers Back to Black, and the magic eraser and they weren't able to get rid of the residue that was on textured trim pieces, which the PB worked perfectly.

Haha, that's good to hear! I'll have to try that one day. I assume you followed it up with a wash or something? You don't want dogs licking your car trim because of the peanut butter residue... :haha:

Peanut butter!?
Wow I would have suggested Wax and Grease Remover

Don't ask why, but I just happen to have some PB here. I'll have to try that!
