that's like a scratch...i say $100 is a good deal

orange7 03-29-2010 06:29 PM

good deal.

If the scratch is severe, genuine touch up paint costs $10 at dealerships.

Otherwise, a little car polish can do the trick.

Just park your car at one of those malls in Richmond. One day later your car will have more dings and scratches.

That scratch is nothing.

You got a good deal, if the bill ain't fake that is.

hirevtuner 03-29-2010 07:10 PM

thanks for the comment guys, i'll leave it as is, probably dab some paint over the weekend

fyi: the bill is legit

I once sold an xbox elite to a guy on craigslist, when i met the guy, i got out of my car, gave him the box, he then proceeded to place the somewhat heavy xbox box on the hood of my skyline, while i was counting his cash, the fucker had the audacity to spin the box around to read the other sides of what was included in the package... meaning he made a pizza sized swirl scratches on my car. I stopped counting the cash, and said WTF are you doing? lifting up the box to show the obvious scratches he just freshly made.. (having autobody experience i knew it could buff right out) I loudly showed my discontent and he agreed to pay another $80 to get it cut polished. but man.. some people....

JSALES 03-30-2010 03:21 AM

that's a good fucking deal

Marco911 03-30-2010 06:46 AM

Every time you report to ICBC, they will take pictures of your car, assess it's condition and it will get entered into a database. If someone is looking to buy your car, they can get all these records from ICBC, which will lower your resale value. I would say, just drop it, if you are satisfied with the $100

I had a good stripe of paint on my rear door from someone failing at parking, and no one even bothered to leave a "My bad" note.
You got lucky

really depends on the car..
it is were a brand new $60,000+ car or something with a custom paint job, no way I will take the $100

considering it is 6-7 years+ IS, and the dent is smaller then a rock chip...Yes, you are lucky u got $100 for it.

invader 03-30-2010 08:26 AM

You're lucky it was only a scratch.

my car got run over by a black SUV that destroyed my nosepanel and scuffed my front bumper and dented my hood. Easily $600 worth of damage.

This is why I like to drive a crappy vehicle, cause I will not lose sleep over one more scratch or dent.:wgaf:

El Bastardo 03-30-2010 10:42 AM

Some bitch backed into me here in Surrey and drove off when I went to get a pen from my car. I had to chase her down and box her into a parking spot a few blocks away to get her info.

Consider yourself lucky that someone was willing to stop at all.

barqy 04-01-2010 07:35 PM

^ wtf

what did she say to you when you got out of your car?
