Funny that you mention rabbits.

Years ago, I used to work in the bush, brushing and spacing (no pun intended, it's a real job, haha)

Quote:

Increased Brushing and Spacing
Young seedlings must be protected from brush and excessive tree competition which would choke them out or seriously inhibit their growth. Both activities increased substantially during the 1980’s (Figure 5). The use of chemicals in brush control peaked in 1989 and has decreased significantly since then in favour of manual and mechanical methods, as well as sheep grazing.
Anyways, I was with a 7 man crew of avid hunters and they showed me how to kill wild chickens by stunning them with rocks and running up and twisting their necks. Then they moved me up to small rifles (22cal) to shoot rabbits. I got 3 on my first go, found them and threw them in a box. Get back to hang, gut and skin them. The first 2 went alright then I get to the third, biggest one. Slice down the belly and what comes out?

6 more rabbits........

lol, Buddhism is not about not eating meat & not drinking booze. it's about separating ur being with ur physical body. Staying away from earthly pleasures is 1 of the many ways to find the "Buddha call". (yes, i know the story about Buddha call

..and being a catholic priest isn't about touching little boys.

What's your point?

Wut's UR point?

My point is that in Buddhism, finding the inner Buddha is the end, not indulging urself in early pleasures in the mean.

Wut's that gotta do with priest touching little boys?

I saw the episode of the F word where he killed the pig he had been raising it was pretty graphic and it was hard for him to do. But I guess in the end you appreciate more where the meat comes from. And how it got on your plate

I think it's even harder for his kids to say goodbye. They give the animals names & play with them. It's like eating ur friend.

Actually the sage Gautama Siddhartha (Shakyamuni) known as the Buddha of our age, wasn't.

What we in the west commonly associate with Buddha is the "Laughing Buddha".

You can read about it here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Budai
