Fuel Gauge Honda Civic cx 96`

Well I think i'm just paranoid but i filled up my tank earlier for 13$ but the gauge wasn't even close to 3/4. My tank is 45litres and i calculated the 13$ being 11litres.
So i thought over that it doesnt add up, so i was wondering if my gauge is reading the fuel inaccurately?

I have no idea what to do - I'm pretty noob with cars :[

there always a little resevred for when the gas light goes on or if you dont have a gas light for when you get in the red close to the E. So if you only put in $13 on an empty tank it will barely move the gague

Sorry i just noticed my bad wording.
It wasnt empty. The gauge was still a bit over 3/4 so it was pretty full. Then i filled it up, but i didn't expect it to be 13$. Hope's that makes sense

so what you're saying is that the tank was a bit over 3/4 full. you then filled it completely and it cost 13$?
if that's the case, then that sounds exactly correct

Yup, a lot of cars the 1/2 mark should actually be the 1/3 mark since about 2/3 of the fuel is used up already.

Hell, on my dd I can drive over 160km before the needle even moves off the full line.

Alright i guess i'm just being paranoid. Thanks

Same thing with my old Galant.

It would go a good 200-250 kms on full, then after it leaves full, it drops down pretty quick.

Then I read that that year Galants had really shitty sensors.

on my EF, the top "1/2" of the tank yields 350km, the bottom 1/2 yields ~150km. it's relatively the same in my EK too.

not sure why it's like this, but w/e.
