As far as the badge I'm guessing some of the paint might have rubbed off over the years of car washes, it looks a little roughed up and in case you never noticed P is the same as an R without the little stick...

im thinking when he took his car in to get sprayed, the shop jacked his real badge and put on a fake one prolly.
