Bridge & Lightroom

How do you guys go about using Bridge and Lightroom together?

I've used Lightroom since it first came out and loved it. However, now that I also have videos getting imported to my catalog, LR doesn't handle the downloading of those. I have to manually throw them into the folder.

Now, the only semi-solution to this is to use Bridge, which handles all file types but I find it clumsy to have to re-import into LR to do my photo management.

How do you guys do your photo management (with a little video on the side)?

I do exactly what you're doing minus Bridge. If you're using LR, then using Bridge is a little redundant it seems. I manually dump everything into my folder, then process images in LR. I am thinking of changing to a different workflow though, but I need to see how well LR3 does RAW conversion compared to Capture One Pro 5 first.

Maybe trying using LR3 Beta 2? It has video support now.

Yeah, exactly. I won't be changing over to LR3 until it's final. Tried the beta and it's really slow compared to LR2.

Until then, I'll be sticking with LR2.
