Anyone gonna visit shanghai for the expo? its amazing and will be held for a long time

The expo was meh. Too many long ass line ups and too many spitters and line jumpers.

Some tips:

Register online for an appointment time to see the china exhibit. If you show up that day, chances are u r SOL.

Learn to take the Metro line to the expo: Super efficient with shuttle bus service to the 8 different entrances. Maps are available at multiple volunteer kiosks all around the site.

If you are canadian, go to the pavillion office and they will let you by-pass the entire line straight into the exhibit. It's called fast trak program!

Food inside the expo site is foreigner priced. IE $6 CAD for iced coffee

Learn how to box people out like Peoples Champ Yao Ming. They like to sneak into lines at the front corners, so learn to position ur ass to bump them back in line. Deploy stare down, "Pai Dui ahhh!!" and of course the gaijin rage.


Other things to do in Shanghai:

XinTian Di district is like HK's LKF or Vancity's yaletown: ie overpriced coffee and beer for hipsters... if that's your thing

Club Obama! lols Vegas style clubbing

Shanghai Nights KTV...because, thats what you do in SH

SWFC tower... really cool views 500m up. Walked over to here from XTD!! 5 Hours city walking tour!

Cool things:

12 RMB = $2 CAD beef noodles
24 rmb = $4 taxi cab rides average fairly honest drivers
300 RMB = $50 for KTV girls to sit with you all night. be a baller and pick 3 for the night!
1300 RMB = $210 (excluding girls) CAD average KTV bill = 40 beers w/ maybe 5 plates of food. sat from 8pm to 2 am

This fast track program is only for the Canadian Pavilion right?
