Transferring credits and gpa between colleges?

I'm quite familiar with how transferring credits and grades work between colleges and universities, but how does it work between two college institutions? Both are in BC. Say I have very poor grades, do I have to transfer them or can I just start fresh? Sorry if this is a stupid question.

Also can you switch institutions if you are on academic probation? I heard that you can't.

i went from douglas to capilano and it was no problem. i think as long as your high school marks meet requirements (u graduated) they dont mind taking your money..

you could call it starting fresh.. but you are problably trying to transfer to UBC/SFU or some university at some point..

some program like those health sciences (like pharmacy, dentistry, medicine) want ALL attempts and they average them in which case you are instantafucked.. but some just require you to have finished the course..

so whatever you do.. research their website/policy so you dont waste your time
