Well if confronted they'll say that they weren't looking to hire at the time, or they went with somebody who had a stronger resume instead.

It's not hard to lie about it, I'm sure if I tried applying at La Senza they wouldn't even bother looking at my resume.

discriminating on language is not illegal if that's what's needed for the job.. cuz of the customers

you should apply to t&t and report back what happens lol.. their HR should be big enough to know what's legal and not.
