It's a pretty late ski season this year, probably won't open until mid-late May. They won't know when it'll clear up, so no set date for opening.

i felt tired already when i see "grouse grind"

its sorta never closes. You can still go up by jumping the fence from the side. Alot of people already doing it right now. But you should be experienced as near the top, there is still snow and probably icy. somepeople use the spike strap-on thingy (forgot what its called) near the top. you can follow people's story on grouse grind facebook page.

The good weather also got me thinking of grouse grind today.

the offical "opening" doesnt have a set date but rather when the city(i think) deems it safe for the public.

Look up the facebook group for the most up to date info.

It's open year-round, if you're a man.

Nvasion 04-17-2010 12:14 AM

went last week not thinking about the snow and it was closed:(

johny 04-17-2010 11:26 AM

went a couple weeks ago. wasn't too much snow at the top. probably less now.

Just read today in the Georgia Straight that it might not be officially open for longer than thought at first. They are going to be doing a lot of constuction/fixing of the trail mostly in the higher section.

Graeme S 04-17-2010 02:56 PM

According to the Strait article, they expect the construction to take around 3 weeks or so; so expect the trail to open up come June or so

Does anyone know if grouse grind is open yet or is it still under construction?

sonick 06-08-2010 12:52 PM

Still under construction. Renovations are being held up coz douchebags are ignoring the signs and going on anyways, slowing down progress of the construction crew.

Do you know they are changing to the grind?

edit whoops, yeah what they are changing to the grind

sonick 06-08-2010 12:58 PM

^ wut? lol.

I assume you are asking what they are changing to the grind? They are simply refreshing and fixing portions of the grind that have been damaged by erosion.
