Hey,
So i have a 95 accord....its 'gold' in color it has a advmotrs and a garage five decal on the rear window.....there is garage 5 and a revscene decals on the rear door windows.........i was wondering if the previous owner of the car could pm me and tell me a little more about it.....there is a switch under the dash and i can't figure out what it controls....theres also a autobot decal on the rear window wear the 3rd brake light is.
Thanks,
Gavin

i don't understand. in buying the car, do you not have the previous owner's info?
on top of that, in buying the car, did you not receive the owner's manual for it?

anyway, to answer your question, if the 1995 accord is anything like the 1993 accord (which it is), the switch under your dash is the main relay switch

i'm assuming you're talking about the switch behind the fuse box

Take some pics so we can see better...

If he bought the car from a dealership, then he would not be provided any previous owners information. Also, seeing as it is a 15 year old car, I highly doubt that the user's manual would still be in the glovebox!!!

true about the dealership
but owner's manuals get passed with the car. my car is 17 years old, and i still have the original owner's manual's (i'm not the only owner of this car either)

just weird that his didn't come with the manual, but maybe i just got lucky

hchang 04-16-2010 10:43 PM

^ From what I know manuals are pretty rare to be passed down.

I was lucky as my first and second car both only had one owner previous to me.

But most of my friends don't have their manuals.

Maybe its just luck?

Out of the 15 (or so) cars I've owned, the only one to actually have the owners manual is my Accord. :lol

JesseBlue 04-16-2010 11:01 PM

maybe an fm tuner? maybe for an internal lighting? maybe for a passive alarm? how about trying to trace the wiring on it?

thats like saying there is this fuse in the fuse box, what fuse should i use?

- kT 04-16-2010 11:09 PM

guess i just got lucky then

either way, i think i've already answered his question - it's the main relay switch
pictures would be good to confirm though, but that's what it is on my accord, and i did a google search just now, and that's what i got too

hey, good to hear you decided to get a car with true modification potential than what you initially sought out to do..

All the best with your new car, definitely seen some of those accords done nicely.

nabs 04-16-2010 11:13 PM

i actually still have my user manual from my 1995 honda accord, lol.

about the manuals... every car my family sold back to the market, we passed down the original manuals, including my '93 corolla, I guess whoever bought our cars jsut got lucky :D

otherwise, when I bought my TL from the dealership (BJ BMW), it didn't have a manual, but they did order me one direct from Honda Canada free of charge

Car manuals make for good reading material when you're sitting on the throne, pinching loaves.

tofu1413 04-17-2010 02:26 AM

^ agreed.

only one out of the seven cars i ever bought came with the bloody owners manual.

having an owners manual with ur used car is a miracle.

Well my cousin bought it for my dad and then my dad came and brought it up on new years and i just recently bought it from my dad.....well if you need specifics it has a alpine deck clifford alarm...the 1 arms and disarms the car.....uh a mtx rpg amp i think it is.....a strobe light above the deck thats kind of coming of and some scufs and dents throughout the body.......well what i want to know is does the amp kill the battery? b/c i had it sitting for about a week and when i went to start it nothing.......i purchased a new battery from costco........and the switch its not realy under the dash its right above the hood release.....i think its for the alarm but i unno....and not that i am hating but why all the decals? is there something from advmotors and garage five on the car?.........i know its alot of ?s but its my first car haha
Thanks,
Gavin

mekaw 04-17-2010 04:56 PM

only car that had its orignal owners manual was the 1990 integra 4dr

shenmecar 04-17-2010 06:23 PM

I have an owner's manual AND a manual supplement! w00tw00t! good thing the first owner kept it in the car

Inaii 04-17-2010 07:33 PM

My car is 26 years old and has the factory service manual, the original sleeve it came in and the service record (I think). Guess I'm lucky too.
