Not a movie, but this was really sad. If any of you remember the Russian figure skating pair Ekatarina Gordeeva & Sergei Grinkov who dominated the scene in the 90's this is a tear jerker. Grinkov collapsed from a heart attack while on the ice practising and died in Gordeeva's arms. This was her tribute to him. Note that she's first skating as if she is skating with a partner but notices that she is suddenly alone.

I don't know anyone didn't cry during the opening scene in Up.

DanHibiki 10-27-2010 03:19 AM

Click really got to me too damn that was a good movie.

Kate Beckinsale is the perfect wife.

I even warned the 4 grown men who went with me to Up and they didn't believe me. And they ALL wound up sniffling.

My daughter has the Pokemon movie too and the part where Ash dies is really hard to watch.

Also all of Grave of the Fireflies. All of it.

twitchyzero 10-27-2010 03:09 PM

i normally dont watch any anime..but here's one when i watched as a kid.

Grave of the Fireflies by Takahata..it's about the hardship of two orphaned brother and sister in a war-torned japan during WWII.

not exactly a scene but:

and my favourite scene from Band of Brothers

I took my kid to see that, even I got a little misty when poor Pikachu was losing his mind trying to zap Ash back to life...

Lol. Didn't notice I posted the wrong link.

Fixed.

the whole movie of "How to Train Your Dragon" is pretty much touching but my best scene would be when Hiccup steps around the dragon's drawing and touches him!

DanHibiki 11-02-2010 03:28 AM

I thought it was sooooo sad when Wade the Medic died in Saving Private Ryan and Tom Hanks crying after

This one doesn't show the part where Tom Hanks cries tho.

Two movies off the top of my head:

Cinema Paradiso

Ikigami: Ultimate Limit

Both of these movies have very powerful emotional scenes, if you watch them you will know what I mean when you see it. I would recommend watching either of these.

Grantorino - when the grandpa got shot and died for his lil chinese friend

SkinnyPupp 11-13-2010 04:11 AM

I can only recall one movie scene ever hitting me really hard to the point where I want to cry:

dlo 11-22-2010 04:13 PM

For me, Blood Diamond's ending always get to me. When leonardo dicarpio character is dieing and decides to stay back to let his friend aboard the plane. Teared watching that 3-4 times lol

Gerbs 11-26-2010 11:53 PM

300, the ending where they all die. It's touching when the movie ends sad.

winson604 11-27-2010 12:20 AM

Hachiko The Dog is a pretty sad movie based on a true story. I mean most of the movie was pretty sad but one part that was especially imo was when the wife came back to town and saw Hachi.

Hi_Im_Mike 11-28-2010 12:35 AM

Yep, will always be my #1!

I keep getting reminded of this scene from Hachiko every other day. I just had to post it...

Edit: For anyone who doesn't already know the story. I wrote pretty much everything you need to know about it on this thread.
