Odometer Question

I've searched and haven't quite got a distinct answer, and I'm not sure where this goes, but I've got a few questions about odometer readings.

My del Sol is from the US, and the odometer is in miles (about 209,xxx at the time) When I Air Cared it months ago, I noticed that the technicians recorded my odometer readings incorrectly, putting it as 209,xxx KMs, when it should really be around 349,xxx kms.
Would this be a problem if I were ever to send my VIN out to CARFAX and the readings looked all screwy? I'm currently selling my car, and I don't want any future hindrances because of the incorrect odometer recordings by Air Care, or any other place.

Also, to any other RS members that know, I've got a Canadian cluster, but I need to push the odometer readings forward. Where can I do this?

Thanks!

the aircare website says "odo readings are taken by workers, and cannot be guaranteed for accuracy", so ur fine.

^ Link?

Also, anybody have an answer to my second question?

http://www.aircare.ca/inspinfo-get-results.php

enter your vin, and at the bottom read the fine print.

its also illegal to tamper with the odo, no matter what.

I thought you're allowed to change you're odo or get it rolled forward/back for you're own purposes (ex. Engine swap or cluster broke). You just can't rollback and not state that it was changed to the next buyer hence committing fraud.

Where can I get it rolled forward? I'm afraid to open it up and do it myself (mainly because I won't know what I'm doing.)

You could do it Ferris Bueller style...

LOL. I would, but I need to drive forward a couple hundred thousand KM's to match my odometer readings...

And I would need a Ferrari 250 GT :p

no one will do this for you, your gonna have to do it yourself, there are lots of guides, google.

I can open it up and roll it forward

You're better off just leaving it, and explaining it to prospective buyers that Aircare hires morons and to ignore the aircare number.

I agree. It would be much better just to record it and explain. I think I would trust that more than some guy with a tampered odometer trying to tell me that everything was really OK.
